Senior International Elite:
Nicole Pechanec is a senior international elite gymnast that competed for the Czech Republic at the 2006 World Championships. In 2007, Nicole finished 2nd place all-around at the Hard Rock Invitational and she also placed 4th all-around, 1st on beam, and 2nd on bars at the Parkette Invitational. At the 2007 Grand Prix, Nicole won the gold medal on beam and the silver medal on vault. Also, Nicole accepted a full scholarship to compete for Stanford starting in fall of 2008.
Amber Trani qualified for elite in 2004 and by 2005, she successfully made the Junior National Team by finishing 12th place at Nationals. Amber also had a great debut as a Senior in 2006. She finished 8th at Nationals and was invited to try for a spot on the World Championships Team at the Worlds Selection Camp. She won the silver medal on vault at the 2007 Pan American Games and finished 11th at Nationals. Amber competed at the 2008 Olympic Trials and she accepted a full gymnastics scholarship to the University of Georgia beginning in the fall of 2008. Official Website
Junior International Elite:
Lia Del Priore qualified for elite in 2006 after having a great season as a level 10. She finished 2nd all-around, 1st on vault, and 2nd on floor at Regionals and qualified to compete at the JO Nationals where she finished 3rd on vault. Lia is also the 2005 Level 9 Regional Champion and she finished 4th all-around at the JO Level 9 Eastern Championships. After Lia qualified to junior international elite, she competed at the US Classic in both 2006 and 2007. In 2007, she finished 10th on vault, beam, and floor.
Cassandra Hanley is a junior international elite gymnast. In 2007 as a national elite, Cassie won the all-around bronze medal and the floor gold medal at the American Challenge. Previously as a level 10, Cassie finished 1st on vault at the PA State Championships and also 1st on bars and 2nd all-around at Regional Championships. Cassie is a three-time J.O. National Qualifier as well. In 2006, Cassie finished 3rd on beam and 4th all-around at Level 10 Regionals. This year, Cassie finished 19th at the US Classic and 23rd at the US National Championships.
Madeline Hanley is Cassie's younger sister. As a level 10 in 2007, Madie finished 3rd all-around and 1st on bars at the PA State Championships. She also finished 3rd all-around, 1st on bars, and 1st on beam at the Level 10 Regional Championships and qualified to J.O. Nationals. Madie qualified to junior international elite shortly after her level 10 season and she competed at US Classic and National Championships. In 2008, Madie finished 14th at the US Classic and 15th at the US National Championships. In addition, she won the elite session of the Friendship Classic.
Rebecca Tutka is another talented up-and-comer from Parkettes. She made her name known as a level 10 in 2006 by finishing 3rd at the Maryland Classic, 3rd at the Parkette Invitational, and 5th at the Level 10 Regional Championships. She also qualified to compete at her very first JO National Championships. Becky qualified to the international elite level at a National Training Camp in July 2006. Becky had surgery on both of her elbows in December 2006 but started competing again a year later and is looking foward to returning to elite competition. In 2008, Becky finished 6th at PA Level 10 States, 6th at Regionals, and 12th at J.O. Nationals. Official Website
Junior National Elite:
Kelsey Kreider came in 9th all-around at the 2007 US Challenge as a junior national elite in 2007 and she finished in the top 25 at the 2006 US Challenge as a Hopes gymnast (child national elite). As a level 10 gymnast in 2007, Kelsey finished 5th on vault, 3rd on beam, 5th on floor, and 6th all-around at the PA State Championships. She qualified to Regionals and placed 4th place on vault there.
Jackie Mowery competed as a junior national elite in both 2006 and 2007. In 2006, she finished 19th at the US Challenge and in 2007, she finished 6th. As a level 10, Jackie won the PA State Championships in 2007. She also won silver medals on vault, bars, and beam and a bronze medal on floor. Jackie finished 8th all-around at Regional Championships and she was the alternate to J.O. Nationals. In 2008, Jackie successfully qualified to compete at the J.O. Nationals. Morgan Steigerwalt finished 4th at the US Challenge in 2006 and 10th in 2007. She won the US Challenge in 2008! She hopes to qualify to international elite in 2009 and compete at the U.S. National Championships. In 2007 as a level 10, Morgan placed 4th all-around at the PA State Championships and 10th all-around and 1st on beam at the Regional Championships. She placed 2nd all-around at both the Greater NY Invitational and the Christmas on the Chesapeake. Morgan finished 4th in the elite session of the Friendship Classic this year.Official Website
